Thorne and the Police

DEAR COMRADE,

Allow me a word of protest against the attitude of comrade Will Thorne in the House as regards the Crippen case.

It would appear from our comrade’s questions that he would have the police shadow and harry every person against whom they have merely vague grounds of suspicion.

Surely, if a case of this kind came to the public notice Socialists would be among the very first to indignantly denounce such high-handed police tyranny. – Yours,
