These are speeches delivered by General Vo Nguyen Giap in the years 1969-70 at various military conferences held after the failure of the US aero-naval war of destruction against the RDVN in 1965-68.
In the translation we have kept to the style of the spoken language; as a result there is some unavoidable repetition in certain passages.
The lessons of the 1972 struggle against the U.S. Air Force have not yet been analysed in depth. We will publish them whenever appropriate texts are available.
